You don’t have to be an eco-tourist to appreciate the natural beauty of Oahu. One of the best ways to experience the island’s marine wildlife is by taking a boating tour around the island. See birds, waterfalls and more as you circumnavigate Oahu. Several boat tours leave from Waikiki’s shore, and combine a day of fishing as well.

Waikiki Aquarium. If you really want to get up close to the native wildlife, head over to the Waikiki Aquarium, the nation’s third oldest public establishment dedicated to the study and preservation of aquatic life. Located on a living reef, Waikiki Aquarium is managed by the University of Hawaii, so visitors will be sure to enjoy an educational as well as fun experience.
