Waikiki Beach Activities
Honolulu’s Waikiki Beach is a welcome respite from real world cares. Because there’s so much to see and do, the hard part is making a decision. Go for a quiet stroll where the ocean meets the shore. Take a surfing lesson. Or just relax on the sand and catch some rays while reading a good book.
Waikiki Golf. Oahu is home to dozens of premier golf courses, several near Waikiki Beach. One of the most well known is the Hawaii Prince Golf Club with its perfectly manicured greens, regal palm trees, and resort setting. Turtle Bay Golf and Country Club, Hawaii Kai Golf Course, and Makaha Valley Country Club all offer exceptional courses surrounded by amazing views of the mountains and ocean.
Waikiki Sightseeing. For some, lying on the beach is enough activity during a Hawaii vacation, but if you want to take in the sights, you’ll find there’s plenty to see in Waikiki and all over Honolulu. Visit St. Augustine Church, founded in 1854 and take in its ornate beauty. Visit the Waikiki Aquarium and learn about the ocean life that enriches Hawaii. Diamond Head, the Arizona Memorial, and Pearl Harbor are just a few of the other sightseeing opportunities located near Waikiki.
