Aqua Waikiki Pearl debuts with an impressive renovation
Over the last few years, I’ve witnessed several amazing hotel transformations at Aqua: Aqua Coconut Plaza to Coconut Waikiki hotel, the renovation at Aqua Bamboo & Spa, Hawaii Polo Inn to The Equus, Coral Reef Hotel to Aqua Waikiki Wave…
Yesterday Aqua Honolulu Prince changed its name to Aqua Waikiki Pearl and joined the Aqua Boutique Collection. All I can say about the facelift over there is “WHOA!” In fact, I believe that’s a direct quote from when I was shown the new rooms a few weeks ago by Aqua Waikiki Pearl’ Sales Manager, Evelyn. See for yourself*:

Stay tuned for a great introductory special at Aqua Waikiki Pearl for travel through 2009. Details coming on Tuesday, January 5!
*No smoke and mirrors here: with the exception of the “Before” Exterior shot, these photos were taken by Aqua employees with our own cameras. All the “After” shots were taken by Justin, with his own (decent but still-not-professional-quality) camera and he only used the existing lighting .

“Harry”: Yes, the transformation is pretty amazing. The future’s so bright, we gotta wear shades…
Kazuo: So glad you enjoyed it!
HD: I’m not a surfer (I know, I know) but the conditions vary greatly depending on season and area of the island. From what I understand there’s something for every level of surfing ability most times of the year. I know people who surf 4-5X a week, year round.

I will be staying at the Tides in 3 weeks and am looking forward to experiencing the renovation first hand. I usually stay at the Ambassador or Maille Sky Court so am anxious to compare. I will write again after my stay to let everyone know how it rates.

My girlfriends and I will be stating here for the weekend, we got a fabulous rate of $61 a night. (I know!! how great is that) and we’re looking forward to enjoying their new renovations.
Good to take care of the Kama’aina, and thats exactly what Aqua resort is doing.

Aloha Mama Jess,
Thanks for your comment and I hope your stay at Aqua Waikiki Tides was a good one. Aqua loves Kama’aina and we’ve actually been offering some of the best Kama’aina rates in town for awhile now!

Wow! – this property looks amazing. I remember when it was such an eyesore people would walk by on a cloudy day and STILL put on their sunglassess! Now I can\\\’t wait to see what they do when it is cloudy! Harry Butz
