Oahu, HI Beaches

The island of Oahu boasts some of Hawaii’s most diverse beaches with a variety of activities and sights, from sightseeing to surfing. All of Hawaii’s beaches are open and accessible to the public for everyone’s enjoyment. Some paths lead from the beach to Oahu’s stunning waterfalls, which bathe the rocks in rainbows and mist. On the South Shore, Waikiki Beach with its resort hotels and vibrant scene, is probably Oahu’s most famous beach. Other wonderful beaches to explore, and there are dozens, include the relaxing Kualoa Regional Park Beach on Oahu’s windward side, a favorite with families. Pokai Bay Beach on the leeward side boasts a sloping coral reef for snorkeling and a protection from big waves. And of course, there’s the exciting North Shore, with its challenging waves that practically beg to be surfed, exquisite reefs, and warm sand beaches, beautiful and breathtaking year round.
